Monday, January 1, 2018* | Feast of Mary, Mother of God | Commemorates the divine motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is our annual parish consecration to Mary. |
Wednesday, February 14 | Ash Wednesday | Marks the first day of Lent, a day of fasting and abstinence. Additional Masses are offered. |
Friday, March 17 | Patronal Feast of Saint Patrick | Solemnity in our parish, includes parish celebration. |
Sunday, March 25 | Palm Sunday | Celebrates the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem |
Thursday, March 29 | Holy Thursday | This is the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Celebrates the Institution of the Eucharist and the Priesthood. Marks the end of Lent and the beginning of the Triduum. |
Friday, March 30 | Good Friday | Commemorates Jesus’ death on the Cross. Services include the Passion Service, Veneration of the Cross and Living Stations of the Cross. No Mass is offered on Good Friday. |
Saturday, March 31 | Holy Saturday | Sabbatum Sanctum – The Day of the Entombed Christ. The Easter Vigil Mass is celebrated after sundown. Candidates and Catechumens are received into the Church. |
Sunday, April 1 | Easter Sunday | Pascha – Christ’s resurrection from the dead. Beginning of the Easter season. |
Sunday, April 8 | Divine Mercy Sunday | Celebrates God’s merciful love. A celebration, including Adoration and Confessions is offered. This year the Divine Mercy service will be at Saint Joan of Arc. |
Sunday, May 13 | Ascension Sunday | Commemorates Jesus’ ascension into Heaven. |
Sunday, May 20 | Pentecost Sunday | Marks the descent of the Holy Spirit. Readers are commissioned on this day. |
Sunday, May 27 | Trinity Sunday | Honors God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit |
Sunday, June 3 | Corpus Christi Sunday | The Body and Blood of Christ. A Eucharistic Procession concludes 8:00 Mass. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are commissioned at Masses. |
Wednesday, August 15* | Assumption of Mary | Commemorates the assumption of Mary, body and soul, into Heaven. |
Thursday, November 1* | All Saints Day | Honors all saints, known and unknown |
Friday, November 2 | All Souls Day | Commemorates the faithful departed. Additional Masses are offered to pray for the souls in purgatory. |
Sunday, November 25 | Christ the King | Celebration of Christ’s kingship. A Eucharistic procession concludes 11 am Mass. |
