PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (CNS) — In front of a national cathedral that lay in rubble, Catholic leaders marked the anniversary of Haiti’s deadly earthquake by praying for its victims and calling for reconstruction of this tattered Caribbean country.
Thank you to all those who donate to St. Therese through your monthly pink envelope, the Lenten bean program, and support our fundraisers. Through your help, we were able to ship: 50 sets of pews, 15 pairs of crutches, 4 computers, a printer, 2 cases of copy paper, 6 outside chairs, 5 teachers’ chairs, 5 tubs of cloth bags, 2 shelving units, treadle sewing machine, small generator, numerous household items, 3 cases of school supplies, 6 boxes of sample size shampoo, lotion and soap, 4 tubs of laundry detergent, 2 boxes of t-shirts and a case of sheets.
