The Kokomo Catholic Pastorate is seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Technician. This individual will work with the Maintenance Supervisor and others within the parish community, volunteers and vendors to perform the following: Performs general maintenance on all buildings and grounds; performs preventative maintenance on all parish equipment at facility and Rectory; assists in the repairs of equipment, lighting, vehicles, exterior/interior repairs, and provides feedback to supervisor on safety issues or concerns; works with other staff to prepare spaces for church events in a timely manner; assures buildings and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly manner; assists with snow removal and maintaining facility sidewalks and entrances; assists in the cleaning of facility rooms and spaces to provide a safe working environment; picks up supplies and materials from vendors when needed; assists in monitoring the facility for security-related issues and concerns. Must be in good physical condition and able to lift, push, or pull upwards of 75-100 lbs, have knowledge of general electrical practices including 120/140 and 440-volt systems, and be able to operate snow removal equipment. This is a non-exempt, full-time position (40 hours a week) and requires a flexible work schedule (weekends and evenings may be required).
